WHERE DOES THE NAME LINDISFARNE COME FROM?

Lindisfarne comes from the ancient name of a Holy Island off the North Northumberland coast. The name is thought to be of Celtic or Saxon origin. While the actual meaning is not known but its modern translation is "Holy Place"
